气烧无烟煤 · TaiXi Anthracite Recarburizer
Premium Chinese gas calcined anthracite for steel mill recarburizing and foundry carbon addition. TaiXi anthracite coal calcined at 1200–1400°C in vertical shaft furnaces. Grades GCA90, GCA93 and GCA95. Cost-effective substitute for calcined petroleum coke in many recarburizing applications.
Gas Calcined Anthracite (GCA) is produced when anthracite coal is calcined at 1200–1400°C in vertical shaft furnaces, yielding a devolatilized and partially graphitized carbon material. Calcination is controlled to achieve specific resistivity and carbon characteristics.
Global Vista's GCA is produced from TaiXi (太西) anthracite coal, sourced exclusively from our qualified Chinese calcination plant partners. TaiXi anthracite is internationally recognized for its naturally low ash content and low sulphur — making it ideal as a recarburizer raw material. Raw coal is processed by floatation before calcining to further reduce impurities.
The primary application of GCA is in steel mill ladles, induction furnaces, holding furnaces and blast furnaces as a recarburizer. GCA is also widely used in foundries for grey iron and non-critical ductile iron production. Because of its comparable quality and competitive price, GCA is used as a substitute for calcined petroleum coke (CPC) in many cost-driven applications.
GCA is Global Vista's largest product line by volume — we have shipped 37,966 MT of GCA over 2022–2024 (49% of total exports). Our largest single GCA buyer is a major Korean steel-mill trading conglomerate (29,988 MT cumulative through their Singapore office); our second-largest is a Japanese carbon-additive customer for foundry use.
* Values are guaranteed maximums/minimums. Premium GCA94 and GCA96 grades available on request. COA delivered with every shipment. Custom sizes (3–8mm, 4–10mm) available for orders ≥ 100 MT.
Primary carbon addition in EAF and BOF ladles. GCA95 is the workhorse grade for major Korean and Japanese steel mills.
Typical addition rate: 3–6 kg per tonne of liquid steel
Charged with the scrap mix in coreless induction furnaces for steel and grey iron production.
Grade choice: GCA93 most common for grey iron foundries
Carbon supplement when standard coke is in short supply or when low-sulphur carbon is required for hot metal chemistry.
Cost-effective substitute for CPC in grey iron and non-critical ductile iron foundries.
Cost saving: 30–40% vs CPC per tonne
Used as a carbon component in carbon bricks and ramming mass for steel ladle linings.
Carbon reductant in submerged arc furnaces for silicon metal, ferrosilicon and ferromanganese production.

Gas calcined anthracite (GCA) is anthracite coal heat-treated at 1200–1400°C in vertical shaft furnaces. The process removes volatile matter and partially graphitizes the carbon structure, yielding a recarburizer with Fixed Carbon 90–95% and low sulphur ≤ 0.3%. We use TaiXi anthracite from China, known for naturally low ash and low sulphur.
GCA comes from anthracite coal calcined at 1200–1400°C while CPC comes from petroleum refinery green coke calcined at the same temperature. GCA is significantly cheaper (about 30–40% lower per tonne) and works as a direct substitute for CPC in steel recarburizing for many applications.
GCA90 (F.C. ≥ 90%), GCA93 (F.C. ≥ 93%), GCA95 (F.C. ≥ 95%). Premium grades GCA94 and GCA96 (lower ash, lower V.M.) available on request. All standard grades have sulphur ≤ 0.3% and size 1–5mm 90% min.
Primary use is steel mill ladle recarburizing — major Korean and Japanese mills use GCA at scale. Secondary uses are foundry recarburizing, blast furnace carbon supplement, ferroalloy production, and refractory carbon brick.
Trial orders from 25 MT (one 20ft container). Production orders typically 200–2000 MT per shipment. Our largest single GCA order shipped was 2,480 MT to a leading Korean steel conglomerate via their Singapore trading office.
Standard GCA is not subject to dual-use export controls. We handle all CIQ, CCPIT and customs documentation.
